NOMAX

Nomax is a fashion collection that critically and ironically explores the impact of contemporary tourism, drawing inspiration from the figure of the digital nomad. Through five objects reimagined as souvenirs of mass culture, the project transforms waste collected from beaches, such as plastics, eroded glass, sand, and cardboard- into raw materials, using biomaterials and electronic components, along with the implementation of digital fabrication technologies such as 3D printing, thermoforming, and laser cutting. Nomax questions the footprint of tourism and the fragility of global consumption. The editorial shoot places the pieces in post-touristic settings: empty, artificial, and dystopian environments that evoke the alternate reality of digital nomads. The model, acting as an avatar, interacts with these objects designed to spark curiosity and reflection.
